Circa 1887-1890
This pair of stoneware vases were produced by Doulton in a style which resembled Italian marble in texture and look. Doulton artist Rosa Keen has decorated the vases with autumnal coloured leaves edged in gilding sitting upon an off-white ground, with further gilding to the top and base rims, and gilt stylised fronds to the base completing the decoration. In super condition with only one vase showing some crazing to the neck.
