Circa 1897-1900
This uncommon jug or ewer had four distinct lobes to the body, which in turn is topped by a helmet shaped neck and spout. An elaborate handle finishes the impressive look. Decorated to the front with a bird landing in a hedgerow in sepia tones and a flash of pink. A pink flowerhead decorated the reverse. Dark green clays decorate the shoulder and spout rim, highlighted with gilt flourishes.
