Royal Worcester Pot Pourri Vase and Covers
A handpainted florally decorated pot pourri. The pierced collar under the domed cover hides an inner lid by which fragrance from such perfumes as rose water can be regulated. Acanthus leaves resting on shield like panels form the handles to either side and the lower part of the vase is decorated with a gilt highlighted raised basket effect. Beautifully decorated with hand painted blue and white chrysanthemums and foliage against an almost sky like faded blue ground. Gilt decoration adds highlights throughout.
