Royal Worcester Urn on Pierced Pedestal
An uncommon piece being a small urn standing upon a square pedestal. The pedestal has pierced trellis within a gilt surround to each side. Decorated in a lustrous pink glaze over which are gilt highlights which include flower stems and scrolls. To the front of the urn is a cartouche in which hand painted orchids and other flowers are applied, surrounded by a gilt scroll.
Dated 1899
Condition: In good condition with no cracks, hairlines or repairs. There are minor scratches in the pink glaze to the reverse of the urn, but the rest of the glaze remains lustrous. The gilding to the base of the handles has very minor rubbing and there is also rubbing to the gilding on the base rim and corners.
