Royal Worcester Pedestal Vase and Cover
Beautifully decorated with handpainted blue and yellow flowers on a pale yellow and blush ivory ground. The painted decoration is raised to the touch. An inverted egg-shaped body standing upon a raised base with raised and gilt decoration. The pedestal foot is attached to the vase body with stylised raised leaves or sunburst look. The vase body slightly flattened at the shoulder from where handles extend either side. The handles rising from a square boss as curled stylised acanthus leaves. The neck decorated with the look of a Greek or Roman column supports a blush-coloured cover. Gilt highlights throughout. Impressed Royal Worcester mark to base.
Circa 1892
Condition: Very good condition with no damages or repairs. Minimal rubbing to the gilding. The painted decoration remains clear and vibrant.
